Owner, Director, Teacher
Originally from Rochester, NY, theater has been in the cards for Greg from the beginning. Performing through high school both in community and professional theater, he went on to receive a B.F.A. from Syracuse University in Acting. While there he discovered his true passion was directing, and moved to New York City to pursue his craft.
After beginning his career assisting prominent directors in venues including Lincoln Center and Lincoln Center Jazz, Roundabout Theater; he went on to direct dozens of shows and readings during his thirteen years in New York. From new musicals, to classic theater; from one woman shows to the Golden Age of the American Drama, Greg tells stories of all kinds.
Greg was a teaching artist in several prominent schools and organizations throughout the Northeast, directing shows and leading master classes in Shakespeare and physical theater.
His most important achievement was his time as Managing Director of Chain Theatre (chaintheatre.org), where not only directed theater classics including One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Talk Radio, and In the Boom Boom Room, he also created opportunities for hundreds of artists to hone their craft through theater and film festivals, as well as maintaining a 65 seat black box theater for rent at affordable prices at a time when most theaters were shuttering their doors.
After moving to LA with his husband Justin Randolph and their four-legged children, they quickly fell in love with the South Bay and took over ownership of Yoga Loft (yogaloftmb.com).
The events of the past year have reminded him what is important, and showed him how deeply the arts are needed as we begin to heal from this collective trauma. He is looking forward to sharing meaningful stories with you at a time when we so desperately need them.
